You or your business can now sponsor our sports science interns or highlighted practitioners in East Africa for the duration of their 12-month internship. Every penny of your sponsorship will be used to cover the costs of mentoring the intern by our world-class in-house sports science, sports nutrition, sports medicine and athletic development practitioners both remotely and in-person.
Sponsorship packages start at £200 or a 12-month fundraising pledge and are perfect for businesses and individuals alike. Our current cohort of interns include the following aspiring practitioners:
What are you sponsoring? If you are looking for a unique, cost-effective way to advertise, a special gift for someone or you're a group of colleagues or friends wishing to show your support for the next generation of performance-science practitioners from the developing world, sponsoring an HP CIC East Africa Sports Science Internship intern for 12 months is a perfect choice. Upon graduation from the programme, our interns in Uganda will be at the very forefront of continuing our work building capacity in sport across the region.
What will you receive? By means of a thank you, you will receive a personal letter from Harper Performance CIC to thank you for the generous sponsorship. Further, our intern will update you throughout their internship on their progress as a developing sports science practitioner, including photo and video footage. Further, you will be provided the following benefits:

Tackle inequality and driverealchange in sport by sponsoring a Project Uganda deployment as part of our ongoing partnership with the Football-For-Good Academy in Kampala to build capacity in East African football.
As part of the project, our team of world-leading practitioners deploy to Uganda throughout the year to up-skill local staff, consult on specific areas of the programme, monitor the development of the project and recruit local staff to ensure our interventions can stand the test of time and create longstanding change.
What are you sponsoring? Sponsorship for ONE deployment of HP CIC staff as part of Project Uganda.
Future planned deployments: September 2019: Deployment Staff: Dr Kellie Pritchard-Peschek; Head of Performance Support, Tim Harper; Project Lead and Elly Rees; Lead Sports Nutritionist Duration: 7-10 days Location: Kampala, Uganda Purpose: To deliver multi-disciplinary workshops to our EASSI cohort and deliver initiatives and interventions at the Football-For-Good Academy as part of Project Uganda.
Your contributions will be used to help cover the costs of these deployments, including travel costs, accommodation costs and the consultancy fees of our team. Our deployment budgets are lean, by design, and by utilising a network of local partners and associates remain incredibly cost-effective.
